Forth Bridge - martin steele
Forth Bridge
A feat of engineering, and still stands the test of time to this day. An amazing structure to photograph, especially on days like this was shot, with a low fog, a long exposure just flattened everything out nicely.

Cawfields sunrise - martin steele
Cawfields Sunrise
Sunrise at Cawfields on Hadrians Wall. I stood out in the rain for around an hour, I had a feeling it would break. A morning that really rewards the efforts of facing the elements head on, and coming out on top.

Buttermere Tree - martin steele
Buttermere Tree
A classic scene in the Lake District, this little tree at the far end of Buttermere lake is well shot, but when the conditions are right, it’s hard not to do “the classics”.

Cardurnock sunset
A lovely serene evening spent at Cardurnock on the Solway estuary, Cumbria. A subtle sunset, and an out-going tide made for some lovely reflections.

Pettico Wick bay
It took 501 seconds to capture this image, but it was worth the wait. Just as the sun dipped below the horizon on what was a lovely evening, I thought i’d go for a long exposure to smooth everything out.

Poppies at Bamburgh
Poppies and sunsets at Bamburgh. I drove 2 hours each way for this shot, and wasn’t disappointed by the light. Just what I had in mind.

Kielder milky way - martin steele
Kielder Milky Way
So I headed up to Kielder Water last night as clear skies were forecast, to get some Milky Way shots. We weren't disappointed. With the reservior like glass, and the sky eventually clearing up for about an hour or so, we got some lovely shots.

Glen Coe
Glen Coe. In the two weeks or so I was based up in Fort William, I hit lucky with some wonderful light in Glen Coe and a great sky when driving back to base camp
