Durdle Door Lulworth – The Top Shot

posted in: New Product, News | 0

Not quite 1 of the 7 wonders of the world, but no mean feat by nature its self, The Durdle Door is a natural stone arch along the Jurassic coast in Dorset, England. There are many stone arches in the world but this is England’s largest (another “The Green Bridge” is in Wales). So its not surprising then to find that the Durdle Door is one of the most photographed locations for landscape photographers to the point it’s almost cliché, that said it does make a great subject and because of the sheer scale of it and the surrounding landscape there are so many angles you can take a photo from. This was about my 30th visit down to the beach, many times I have gone down and come away with nothing because the sky didn’t play ball it’s a 6 hour round trip for me so I try to make the most of it when I’m there, despite my many trip I have never even walked up on the top cliff let alone taken a photo so this was my first time, I’m so glad I did as I now have this image and a few more ideas for a return trip.
This image is now available in the print shop prices starting at £25 for a 12×8 fine art print mounted ready to be framed.
